Selectmen approve Donelan's beer and wine license, hear DeCordova strategic plan

LINCOLN — March 5, 2012 — Lincoln Selectmen clear Donelan's beer and wine license and hear DeCordova's five-year plan. The board voted unanimously Monday to approve Donelan's Supermarkets Inc.'s application, stipulating sales from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and noon to 10 p.m. Sundays, and found no impact on the neighboring church. DeCordova Director Dennis Kois presented a strategic plan aiming to make the museum "the best sculpture park in the United States within a decade," with adult admission rising from $12 to $14, free admission for children 12 and under, and a possible fall move of Lincoln Nursery School from the Stone Church to the campus. Selectman Noah Eckhouse called the mission statement's omission of Lincoln "incongruous." Town Administrator Tim Higgins reported that Standard & Poor's affirmed the town's AAA bond rating and that Columbia Pictures will film on Lexington Road the week of March 26.
