Lincoln Planning Board approves reduced Peck house and screening plan on Weston Road

LINCOLN — May 12, 2020 — Lincoln Planning Board unanimously approves reduced Peck house and Weston Road screening plan over abutter objection. Meeting by Zoom on May 12, the board voted 5-0 to find a 10-foot footprint reduction a minor change and 5-0 to approve a buffer planting plan of three Norway spruce, three balsam fir and four rhododendrons at 10-to-12-foot installation height — taller than the board's usual seven-to-eight-foot standard. Architect Howard Raley said final tree placement will be set after framing "so that they would maximize the screening for the abutters." George Reiser of 81 Weston Road called the overhead drawings useless and asked for the foundation to be staked; Co-Chair Gary Taylor said the layout was already "a reasonable screening plan." Town Planner Paula Vaughn confirmed no final certificate of occupancy will issue until plantings are in, with a June 30 deadline on any temporary CO.
