Lincoln Select Board backs June 13 outdoor town meeting at Hartwell
LINCOLN — May 18, 2020 — Lincoln Select Board backs holding annual town meeting June 13 in the Hartwell parking lot. The board, chaired by Jennifer Glass, accepted a public health team recommendation delivered by Town Administrator Tim Higgins and public health nurse Trish McGeehan after Gov. Charlie Baker extended the state of emergency. Lincoln stands at 31 confirmed and two probable COVID-19 cases; mass testing of about 200 residents at The Commons begins Tuesday. The warrant has been pared to 22 financial articles, all but three on consent. Glass reported the School Building Committee narrowed its town-meeting ask to seven items totaling $629,000 plus $200,000 in furniture, fixtures and equipment, after Finance Committee guidance lowered available free cash from roughly $1.5 million to $840,000. "We don't know what the future holds," McGeehan said. "It does feel like we have a little bit of a window."
