Lincoln selectmen sign 22-article warrant for outdoor June 13 town meeting

LINCOLN — May 20, 2020 — Lincoln selectmen sign pared-down 22-article warrant for outdoor June 13 town meeting. Meeting virtually under Gov. Baker's emergency order, Selectmen Jennifer Glass, James Craig and Jonathan Dwyer voted 3-0 to approve a warrant Town Administrator Tim Higgins said was stripped to "articles that are only of a financial nature, including the capital projects" — down from more than 40 to 22, with 19 on a consent calendar and three pulled for separate handling: the capital plan, the water articles and the free cash article. Town Moderator Sarah Holden read her formal declaration postponing the annual meeting a third time, from May 23 to 9:30 a.m. June 13 at the Hartwell school parking lot on Ball Field Road, citing "the public health and safety risks posed by the novel coronavirus." Finance Committee Chair Andy Payne reported his committee had approved a revised fiscal 2021 budget Tuesday night. Police Chief Kevin Kennedy, acting as town constable, said he would post the declaration immediately. The board cancelled its Memorial Day meeting and will next meet June 1.
