Lincoln Select Board elects Dwyer chair, names Glass to diversity committee

LINCOLN — May 24, 2021 — Lincoln Select Board elects Dwyer chair and seats Glass on new IDEA committee. Member Jennifer Glass nominated Jonathan Dwyer as chair, succeeding James Craig; the vote was 3-0. Glass then volunteered as the board's representative to the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Anti-Racism committee, calling it "a journey of discovery and a steep learning curve," and was appointed unanimously. Town Administrator Tim Higgins said COVID restrictions lift May 29 and the state of emergency ends June 15, after which boards lose remote-meeting authority absent state legislation. Veterans Agent Peter Harvell briefed plans for a 9 a.m. Memorial Day Medal of Liberty ceremony honoring 16 service members from Lincoln and Sudbury; 16 of 18 invited families accepted. The board also unanimously adopted the Municipal Relief Act for FY21 and previewed roughly $2 million in incoming ARPA funds.
