Lincoln Select Board releases RFP for three-tier electricity aggregation program

LINCOLN — November 9, 2020 — Lincoln Select Board releases electricity aggregation RFP for Dec. 1 bid. The board voted 3-0 on Nov. 9 to send out the RFP for the town's Community Choice Aggregation program, with a same-day signature window when bids return. Green Energy Committee member CJ pitched three tiers — a Total Green option above Eversource Basic, a Basic Green default near the Eversource winter rate adding 30–50 percent Class 1 Massachusetts RECs, and a Budget tier below Eversource still adding 10–20 percent renewables on top of the state's 18 percent 2021 mandate. Member Paul Schorb cautioned the committee had not yet formally voted. Final pricing philosophy is due at the Nov. 23 meeting. Separately, DeCordova business director Cord Jablonski reported admissions up 88 percent since the May 19 reopening, with over 700 memberships sold through October versus roughly 400 in all of the prior fiscal year. A Morningside Lane curb cut hearing was closed with no action after the ZBA's special-permit approval was found to control; an abutter called the duplicate notice "wasting our time."
