Planning Board approves 4,921-square-foot single-family house on Conant Road
LINCOLN — August 8, 2023 — Lincoln Planning Board unanimously approves Conant Road house as town locks in 10-year housing safe harbor. The board cleared a 4,921-square-foot single-family home and detached garage for applicants James Ross and Camilla Christensen on an 82,555-square-foot vacant lot off Davis Farm Road, with the 33-foot-10-inch structure approved using average natural grade because of the site's slope. Co-Chairs Lynn DeLisi and Gary Taylor were joined by members Craig and Eve in three unanimous roll-call votes; Margaret Olson was absent. Town Planner Paula Vaughn-MacKenzie separately reported the state has certified Lincoln's Subsidized Housing Inventory at 12.83 percent, securing safe harbor for 10 years, and that a new Massachusetts Housing Partnership grant brings total Housing Choice Act consulting funds to roughly $100,000. Vaughn-MacKenzie also warned the board that The Commons in Lincoln is contemplating a December special Town Meeting submission on a tight timeline: "I don't think they realize the amount of work they really need to do."
