Planning Board approves two new homes, advances wireless bylaw fix
LINCOLN — March 14, 2023 — Lincoln Planning Board approves two homes and recommends cell tower bylaw fix for Town Meeting. The board unanimously closed hearings on a single-family home at 200 Old County Road, where applicant Shane Wren is building partly across the Wayland line, and on a 4,832-square-foot Deck House replacement at 247 Old Concord Road for Jim Hutchinson, with builder Mark Getteman. The Hutchinson project carried only one open issue — exterior wall lights at 933 lumens versus the town's 900-lumen limit — which staff will handle administratively. Member Rob Ahlert presented amendments to Section 12.6 codifying federal "eligible facilities request" procedures, including a mandatory 60-day review window and updated parcel numbers for the wireless overlay district. "We've been improvising," Ahlert said of current practice. The board voted 5-0 to recommend the amendment to Town Meeting.
