Planning Board approves 4,225-square-foot Farrar Road rebuild after 2021 mold discovery

LINCOLN — January 28, 2025 — Lincoln Planning Board approves Farrar Road rebuild, delays pool house over wetlands. The board on Jan. 28 unanimously approved a site plan for a new 4,225-square-foot single-family home at 34 Farrar Road, replacing a mold-damaged 1,068-square-foot house that applicant Michael Leap said he had to vacate after one day in 2021. Leap, who told members he sold his company to finance the rebuild, won approval on a 40,917-square-foot lot with 38.7-foot side setbacks, four Cultec subsurface stormwater chambers, and six 3000K exterior sconces he agreed could be retrofitted to 2700K under a pending dark skies bylaw. Co-Chair Lynn DeLisi ran the hybrid meeting; member Margaret Olson joined by Zoom with COVID. The board continued a separate pool house hearing at 31 Old Concord Road to Feb. 11 at the Conservation Department's request after the site's wetlands delineation expired. A FEMA floodplain bylaw hearing — which DeLisi said the town "ha[s] to pass so people can get flood insurance" — is set for Feb. 11 at 7:01 p.m.
