Planning Board approves McIntosh Lane pool building and Baker Bridge Road addition

LINCOLN — July 9, 2024 — Lincoln Planning Board clears two residential site plans and narrows scope of proposed trees subcommittee. The board voted 5-0 to approve a 2,685-square-foot indoor pool accessory structure for Jonathan and Alice Flint at 22 McIntosh Lane, subject to Conservation Department snow-fencing conditions, and voted 5-0 twice on a 14 Baker Bridge Road addition that nearly doubles an existing 6,375-square-foot home to 12,994 square feet — first allowing average natural grade for a 33-foot-9.5-inch height calculation, then approving the plan. Most of the night went to a trees subcommittee debate. Co-Chair Lynn DeLisi asked, "What is the problem that everyone's worried about?" Susan Hall Mygatt, convenor of the proposed group, called it a "listening subcommittee, not an advocacy subcommittee." Member Margaret Olson urged narrowing the charge to a comparative study of other towns' bylaws before approaching residents on preferences. Co-Chair Gary Taylor tied the issue to lingering HCA anxieties: "What can we lose?"
