Planning Board approves three sign permits, continues Beaver Pond curb-cut request

LINCOLN — April 9, 2024 — Lincoln Planning Board clears three sign permits and defers a Beaver Pond curb-cut decision for a site walk. Acting Chair Lynn DeLisi led the April 9 virtual meeting in Co-Chair Margaret Olson's absence, with Co-Chair Gary Taylor and members Craig and Eve all voting in favor on each sign permit. Hanan Healthy Foods at 270 South Great Road won approval for a redesigned 30-by-20-inch roadside sign and three hanging panels. Weston Nurseries at 339 South Great Road was approved 4-0 with a 9 p.m. shutoff on its single downward-facing sign light, after Susan Hall Mygatt warned against picking a cutoff "out of the air" without consistent town standards. Oriel Landing got a six-month temporary leasing sign at One Mary's Way, where applicant Andrea Irving said 10 percent of the 60 units are vacant. The board continued Stephanie Smart and Alan Vandermeulen's second-curb-cut request at 30 Beaver Pond Road to April 30, with neighbor Kip Kumler calling the dispute "much ado about nothing."
