Planning Board approves Weston Road home with cedar screening condition

LINCOLN — November 26, 2024 — Lincoln Planning Board approves 93 Weston Road home, conditions occupancy on neighbor-agreed cedar screening. The board unanimously approved a 7,109-square-foot two-story contemporary dwelling and 18-by-26-foot pool on an 11.42-acre lot, with conditions requiring two Eastern red cedars to be planted in a location agreed upon with abutter Tanya Crowley of 97 Weston Road and approved by the Conservation Commission. The applicant pushed back on drawing the transplant onto a revised landscape plan, warning, "If we put this on a plan, we go to conservation and we come back in a month, none of this will happen." Co-Chair Margaret Olson reminded the room that "there are limits to this board's power" over Conservation Commission decisions. The board also unanimously found a redesigned 2,266-square-foot accessory pool structure for Jonathan and Alice Flint at 22 Macintosh Lane to be a minor change, and deferred a resident request for standing reporting on Housing Choice Act inquiries until Planning Director Paula Vaughn returns.
