Lincoln School Committee adopts G-series policies, reviews MCAS data, weighs 2025-26 calendar

LINCOLN — November 21, 2024 — Lincoln School Committee reviews MCAS gaps and lines up a Dec. 12 vacancy interview. Assistant Superintendent Torrance Lewis told the committee Thursday the Lincoln campus posted a mean Student Growth Percentile of 60 in math and 53 in ELA, while Hanscom matched the state's 41 percent meeting-or-exceeding rate in math with a 55 SGP. Lewis flagged a persistent achievement gap for students with disabilities — even as that group showed "strong growth in MCAS … 68 SGP in math and 69 SGP in ELA" at Lincoln — and said a K-8 math curriculum review begins next year. Superintendent Perry Graham previewed a tight FY26 budget responsive to "the pattern of substantial budget surpluses … for the last three years," with the Collins Center's analysis joining the Dec. 5 packet. The committee unanimously approved the G-series policies on second reading and set a joint meeting with the Select Board for 6 p.m. Dec. 12 to fill the seat vacated by Yoncha.
