Planning Board continues all five T-Mobile permit hearings to April 26

LINCOLN — March 8, 2022 — Lincoln Planning Board declares all five T-Mobile wireless renewals incomplete, continues hearings to April 26. The board voted 5-0 on each application — covering 9 Mary's Way, 37 Cambridge Turnpike, 0 Bedford Road, 131 Cambridge Turnpike, 169 Lincoln Road and 295 Cambridge Turnpike — after planner Paula and Co-Chair Lynn DeLisi found the carrier's submissions relied on emissions data from 2009 and 2012, predating equipment modifications and the construction of the Oriole Landing affordable housing complex next to the Mary's Way tower. "If we have requested information from these people and they have not provided it, I'm very much disinclined to grant this permit," DeLisi said. Attorney Leslie Delaney Hawkins of Prince Lobel Tye, for T-Mobile, accepted the continuance. The board also voted 5-0 to endorse Warrant Article 35 raising the maximum zoning-violation fine from $100 to $300 — the state cap — and 5-0 to approve a comment letter to DHCD objecting to the 750-unit floor in draft MBTA Communities guidelines.
