Planning Board releases $13,890 from three escrow accounts dating to 1998 and 1999

LINCOLN — August 10, 2021 — Lincoln Planning Board clears roughly $13,890 from three escrow accounts dating to the late 1990s. Meeting Aug. 10 without Co-Chair Lynn DeLisi, the board voted 4-0 to release a $7,890.37 paving surety held on the Friedland Hill subdivision since February 1999, a $3,000 VHB engineering-review account for the Apple Meadow Farm subdivision off Lexington Road, and a $3,000 Sprint escrow set aside in 1999 to screen a wireless facility at Farrington Memorial from 109 Page Road. The town planner reported that abutter Frank Panetta emailed Aug. 9 agreeing the Sprint funds "should be returned." The board also continued the 15 Stratford Way site plan hearing to Sept. 14 and held an extended discussion on the Battle Road Scenic Byway, where Co-Chair Gary Taylor said "this is the time we should be putting pressure on people" regarding the MassDOT Route 2A reconstruction.
