Planning Board unanimously endorses Farrington Nature Link, sends article to town meeting

LINCOLN -- June 10, 2025, Lincoln Planning Board unanimously endorses Farrington Nature Link, advancing it to a June 25 town meeting vote. The North Lincoln Overlay District Plan No. 7 would build 20 single-family homes, 17 cottages near 1,850 square feet, three medium homes near 3,600 square feet, and three deed-restricted affordable units, while conserving 77 acres on the Farrington Memorial and Panetta properties. Civico Development's Andrew Consigli is paying the Panetta family $3.3 million for the housing parcel; the conservation buy is funded by $950,000 in town CPA money, roughly $800,000 from the City of Cambridge for watershed protection, and private fundraising. Co-Chair Gary Taylor disclosed but did not recuse over his wife's Farrington board seat, calling the project a chance "to put everything together." The Select Board, Historical Commission and Housing Commission have all endorsed; a 203-signature support letter was delivered at the hearing.
