Select Board appoints new members to Conservation, Assessors and Zoning boards

LINCOLN — July 12, 2021 — Lincoln Select Board fills three volunteer board vacancies and tackles Walden parking spillover. The board unanimously appointed Lexington conservation coordinator Amber Carr to the Conservation Commission seat vacated by Larry Buell; retired businessman Bruce Campbell, in a joint vote with the elected Board of Assessors, to finish eight months of Laura Sander's term; and elevated Tobias Brambrink to a full Zoning Board of Appeals seat while adding David Elms as a new associate. Town Administrator Tim Higgins reported Facilities Director Michael Haynes will retire by September and that Minuteman's counsel has decided the school's solar project is tax-exempt and no PILOT is needed, "proceeding at its own risk on the advice of counsel." The board also approved a temporary no-parking zone on Goose Pond Road, Pheasant Lane and Deer Run through Labor Day to address Walden Pond overflow, with member Jennifer Glass pressing for a more regional solution.
