Lincoln Planning Board elects Olson chair, DeLisi vice chair in unanimous votes
LINCOLN — April 11, 2023 — Lincoln Planning Board reorganizes under Olson and sets a year of zoning work. Member Margaret Olson was elected chair 5-0 on a nomination from outgoing Co-Chair Gary Taylor, who cited her leadership on the accessory apartment bylaw that passed at Town Meeting; Lynn DeLisi was elected vice chair 5-0. Planning Director Paula said the new specialized energy code takes effect Jan. 1, 2024, and that participation in the state's 10-town fossil-fuel-free pilot will follow DOER regulations due by July 1. New member Craig takes the second Planning Board seat on the Housing Choice Working Group, which is mapping roughly 42 to 43 acres of candidate rezoning, with at least 20 percent within a half-mile of the Mall. DeLisi pressed for joint meetings, saying she had "very little idea" of the working group's deliberations last year. The board will hold a Saturday workshop to outline priorities including form-based zoning, B-1 and B-2 revisions, and Route 2A traffic calming ahead of the town's 250th anniversary.
