Lincoln School Committee names Parry Graham next superintendent

LINCOLN — February 7, 2023 — Lincoln School Committee unanimously selects Wayland's Parry Graham as next superintendent. Chair John McLaughlin presided over a roll-call vote appointing Dr. Parry Graham effective July 1, 2023, subject to contract negotiations, after a search managed by the Collins Center and consultant John Brackett that drew 24 applications and four finalists. Member Kim Rajdeep coordinated the process on the committee side. Six of eight voices endorsed Graham over internal candidate Dr. Jess Rose, the district's assistant superintendent; Hanscom representative Laurel Wironen was the lone voice for Rose, citing "continuity" in equity and Portrait of a Learner work. McLaughlin said community feedback pointed toward "a desire for change," and Graham accepted the offer by phone immediately after the vote.
