Chair Jennifer Glass read Sander's resignation letter, which cited a leadership commitment with the Cambridge Quaker meeting and listed accomplishments including the hiring of Superintendent Rebecca McFaul and three teacher contracts. Letters of interest are due Oct. 3 for an interim seat running through the March town election. Administrator for Business and Finance Buck Creel reported the Hanscom reserve fund grew $446,081 in FY14, helped by mid-year movement into Band 4 generating roughly $478,000 in additional revenue, and that the Lincoln campus returned $114,010 to the town. The committee approved warrants of $2,547,583.48 and a sole-source snow removal contract with D&P at a roughly 3 percent increase, but deferred votes on the EDCO Articles of Agreement and a SAFIS background-check policy after member Tim Christenfeld called fingerprinting Science Share volunteers "irresponsible" as a substitute for real protection.
