Planning Board continues Ball Field Road and Old Winter Street hearings to April 8
LINCOLN — March 25, 2025 — Lincoln Planning Board punts Ball Field Road and Old Winter Street hearings to April 8 and finalizes Town Meeting prep. The board unanimously continued the community center site plan review and Section 12.4 aquifer special permit at 6 Ball Field Road, plus Timothy and Madeline Flout's site plan and stormwater permit at 0 Old Winter Street, at applicants' request. Planning Director Paula Vaughn said staff will print about 300 copies each of FAQ handouts on the accessory dwelling unit articles (31 and 32) and the stormwater/floodplain article (33), and cautioned residents to wait until after FEMA's expected July 8 map update to check their floodplain status. Co-Chair Gary Taylor told members the MBTA has pegged a basic ADA upgrade at Lincoln Station at roughly $60 million and that Route 2A improvements are "off the table" before the 250th after National Park Service opposition. Vaughn said Town Offices EV chargers should go live within weeks of Town Meeting, with a $5-per-hour idle penalty after a 30-minute grace period.
