Lincoln Select Board approves April 18-19 parking ban for 250th reenactment
LINCOLN — March 24, 2025 — Lincoln approves April 18-19 parking ban and Route 2A closure for 250th reenactment. The Select Board voted 3-0 Monday to back the operations plan presented by Police Chief Sean Kennedy and Lt. John Wentworth, including a parking ban running 6 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday on public ways from Route 126 to Baker Bridge to Sandy Pond Road. Route 2A and Hanscom Drive will close from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 19 for two tactical battles drawing approximately 800 reenactors. Residents north of Route 2 will receive hang-tag credentials at four soft-closure access points; distribution begins at Town Meeting and continues at the transfer station April 5 and April 12. "The goal is for deterrence and not enforcement," Kennedy said. The board separately voted to hold the fall State of the Town on Saturday, Nov. 1.
