Select Board · Meeting of October 19, 2026

Lincoln Select Board backed either library HVAC funding article ahead of Saturday's special town meeting and approved a $2.13 million Ballfield Road safety redesign. Chair Jim Hutchinson, Kim Bodnar and Jennifer Glass voted 3-0 on both items. Green Energy Committee Chair Paul Schor told the board his committee recommended Article 1, the ground-source option, though the vote was not unanimous, with one abstention and three members absent for the tally.

Kim Bodnar said "it's uncomfortable voting against this project" given the town's sustainability record, but argued residents shouldn't feel they're abandoning values by choosing cost over the greener option. Town Administrator Tim Higgins said a consultant's five-year pavement plan now totals $18.6 million, with about 9 percent of town roads needing little work and more than half needing major resurfacing.
