Select Board schedules June 25 special town meeting for Farrington-Panetta land deal

LINCOLN -- April 14, 2025, Lincoln Select Board sets June 25 special town meeting for $6.4 million Farrington-Panetta land deal. The 3-0 vote schedules a 6:30 p.m. weeknight meeting to take up a Rural Land Foundation request for $950,000 in Community Preservation Act funds toward permanent conservation of more than 77 acres off Page Road and Route 2, paired with a zoning vote to allow 17 single-family starter homes averaging 1,850 square feet under the North Lincoln Overlay District. Executive Director Jeff McGeehan called it "a fragile project with a lot of components" and said "the stars have aligned briefly." The city of Cambridge and $1.5 million in private fundraising round out the financing; the developer, Civico Development's Andrew Consigli, will fund the $3.3 million Panetta land purchase separately. The board also elected Jennifer Glass chair, expanded the Green Energy Committee from five to nine members with four new appointments, and named Roshan Karbanda to the Parks and Recreation Committee.
