Lincoln School Committee adopts district plan, advances EL Education literacy rollout

LINCOLN — September 4, 2025 — Lincoln approves district plan as first-day enrollment falls by 73 across two campuses. The School Committee unanimously adopted its 2025-26 district improvement plan, the superintendent's evaluation goals and its own committee goals on Sept. 4, while Superintendent Parry Graham reported Lincoln School K-8 enrollment down 42 students, Hanscom K-8 down 20 and Hanscom preschool down 11 from last year. The literacy metric was narrowed from K-5 to K-3, with a new comprehension assessment, Track My Progress, introduced in grades 3-8 to set baseline data. The committee earmarked up to $1,500 to piggyback school content on the Select Board newsletter, authorized a support letter for Doherty's EPA grant covering roughly six electric buses, and previewed FY27 capital — including replacement of Lincoln School projectors and withdrawal of a Hartwell generator project deemed infeasible. Graham urged the board to "adopt a conservative mindset toward the Hanscom contract" under its new per-pupil structure with DoDEA.
