Lincoln School Committee Approves Campus Master Plan Panel, Hartwell Lease Process
LINCOLN — June 4, 2015 — Lincoln School Committee honors six retirees, seats campus master plan panel, and votes to re-lease Hartwell space. The committee unanimously approved an at-large slate of Vin Canestraro, Paula Cobb, and Carol Casper for the new campus master plan committee, which holds its first meeting June 8 to review a draft request for qualifications for a consulting firm. The board also voted unanimously to rate Superintendent Becky McFaul proficient overall on her summative evaluation, with exemplary marks in family and community engagement and professional culture. Warrants totaling $900,832.55 — split between a payroll warrant of $748,430.98 and an accounts payable warrant of $152,401.57 — were approved without objection. The Hartwell building space currently occupied by Magic Gardens was declared surplus and the administration was directed to solicit educational-use proposals under Massachusetts general law, with a formal RFP expected at the start of the 2015-2016 school year. Six retiring staff members were recognized, including 26-year special educators Daphne Easton and Terry Nathanson, and nine-year K-4 principal Stephen McKenna.
