Lincoln School Committee approves $15,000 traffic study, AMC outdoor overnights

LINCOLN — September 10, 2015 — Lincoln School Committee approves $15,000 traffic study and contingent OK for AMC overnights. Members unanimously awarded a supplemental agreement to consultant Larner Ladd Bartels for campus master plan traffic work, funded $7,500 each from the School Building Advisory Committee and community study balances. Business Manager Buck explained the consultant discovered "there's no traffic study" in the existing record after MSBA had waived the requirement. Teachers Jamie Moody and Steve Cullen won contingent approval for an Oct. 3-4 Appalachian Mountain Club trip to Noble View at $12 per student and a January YMAP trip at Pinkham Notch, pending resolution of medication-administration coverage flagged by school nurse Maureen. Superintendent Becky McFall also reported the FY15 closeout returned $122,399.95 to Lincoln and $410,657.78 to the Hanscom reserve — the fourth consecutive year of significant returned funds. The committee approved $731,016.88 in warrants and added a $6,500 boys soccer team at Hanscom.
