LINCOLN — September 24, 2015 — Lincoln School Committee approves superintendent's annual plan and defers CASE collaborative amendments to October. The committee voted 5-0 Sept. 24 to approve Superintendent Becky McFall's 2015-16 goals, anchored by a multi-year framework for analyzing MCAS, STAR Math, Fountas and Pinnell and writing assessment data, and a principals' professional learning community. Action on amendments to the 11-district CASE special-education collaborative agreement was deferred to Oct. 8 pending insurance-carrier feedback on expanded indemnification language; Lincoln's counsel also flagged the unanimous-vote dissolution clause, with Chair Jennifer Glass noting that "if eight districts said we're done with CASE, there isn't any more CASE." The committee approved $872,668.99 in warrants ($703,704.07 payroll; $168,964.92 accounts payable), reviewed 11 FY17 capital projects including roughly $450,000 for auditorium-seat replacement, and recognized retiring social worker Amy Hood after 17 years.
