Lincoln School Committee honors seven retirees, plans full in-person return for fall
LINCOLN — June 3, 2021 — Lincoln School Committee says goodbye to seven retirees and outlines full return to in-person school. Superintendent Becky McFall and principals recognized retirees Buck Creel, Steve Cullen, Loretta D'Alessandro, Laura English, Judy Kelly, Patrick McMillan and Jane Mosier, whose combined service tops a century. Assistant Superintendent Jess Rose said the FY22 model will eliminate separate cohorts, return live specials and middle-school content classes, and restore an 8 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. schedule, with no remote option offered by state directive. Director of Technology Rob Ford reported pool testing has processed nearly 9,000 samples in 14 weeks, identifying five positives — a 0.07 percent positivity rate — at 86 percent student participation at Lincoln and 39 percent at Hanscom. The committee voted unanimously to renew LEAP's Pod C license at $32,150 and approved warrants totaling $1,187,943.90.
