Lincoln School Committee renews superintendent contract, restores school seat on SBAC
LINCOLN -- April 17, 2014, Lincoln School Committee renews McFall, restores elected seat on building panel, and clears $48K in foundation grants. After a brief executive session, members unanimously ratified a new three-year contract for Superintendent Becky McFall a year before her initial deal expired. The committee also reconstituted the School Building Advisory Committee at 12 members, nine returning citizen appointees, member Tim Christenfeld in a restored school committee seat, Superintendent McFall and Director of Finance and Operations Buck Creel, and amended the charge to direct coordination with the separate community center study. The Lincoln School Foundation presented 17 grants totaling $48,089.57, including five at Brooks Middle School and a wetlands-boardwalk community organizer. A faculty data-systems survey found 68 percent rate Aspen "not effective." Hanscom Middle School graduation moves from June 20 to June 23; groundbreaking on the building project is June 18.
