Lincoln School Committee renews superintendent contract, restores school seat on SBAC

LINCOLN — April 17, 2014 — Lincoln School Committee renews McFall, restores elected seat on building panel, and clears $48K in foundation grants. After a brief executive session, members unanimously ratified a new three-year contract for Superintendent Becky McFall a year before her initial deal expired. The committee also reconstituted the School Building Advisory Committee at 12 members — nine returning citizen appointees, member Tim Christenfeld in a restored school committee seat, Superintendent McFall and Director of Finance and Operations Buck Creel — and amended the charge to direct coordination with the separate community center study. The Lincoln School Foundation presented 17 grants totaling $48,089.57, including five at Brooks Middle School and a wetlands-boardwalk community organizer. A faculty data-systems survey found 68 percent rate Aspen "not effective." Hanscom Middle School graduation moves from June 20 to June 23; groundbreaking on the building project is June 18.
