Lincoln Select Board endorses bike-pedestrian master plan and reaffirms Pride proclamation

LINCOLN -- May 6, 2024, Lincoln Select Board endorses bike-pedestrian plan and reaffirms Pride proclamation in unanimous votes. Chair Kim Bodnar, member Jim Hutchinson and remote member Jennifer Glass voted 3-0 to endorse the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee's Master Plan, covering more than 70 potential projects, with conceptual design underway on nine priorities through consultant Andrew Swanson, and 3-0 to readopt a 2024 Pride Month proclamation, which the members read in sections after a Zoom intruder briefly disrupted the meeting with homophobic and racist slurs. "Perfect illustration of what we're doing," Bodnar said. The board separately approved a Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School Committee request to move $300,000 to OPEB and $500,000 to stabilization from excess and deficiency. Town Administrator Tim Higgins said Acting Chief Sean Kennedy is exploring a state-funded regional dispatch alliance, motivated by "improving quality."
