Lincoln School Committee approves FY25, FY26 grants and lunch fee changes

LINCOLN — February 13, 2025 — Lincoln School Committee advances literacy pilot and signs CASE Collaborative for SEL review. The committee voted unanimously Thursday to accept federal and state grants for fiscal years 2025 and 2026 and approve changes to school lunch, facilities use and after-school program fees. Superintendent Perry Graham reported that the district has narrowed its literacy curriculum review to three finalists — Fish Tank, EL Education and CKLA/Amplify — with roughly 23 teachers volunteering to run seven- to eight-week pilots from mid-March through mid-May before a May decision. Curriculum administrator Torrance said the district is open to splitting vendors across grade spans, noting "there's no perfect curriculum." Chair Matina Madrick reported the federal pre-solicitation for the Hanscom Schools contract has posted on SAM.gov, with the RFP expected around March 3.
