Lincoln Select Board authorizes $1.57 million Codman farm store renovation

LINCOLN — March 23, 2026 — Lincoln Select Board clears $1.57M Codman farm store rebuild and backs L-S regional agreement. The board voted 3-0 to authorize Codman Community Farms' relocation of its retail operation into Barn B with a walk-in cooler, prep space, staff room and loading dock, funded by a $598,000 state Food Security Infrastructure Grant, $430,000 in prior 50th-anniversary fundraising, and operating reserves. Executive Director Pete Lowy said the farm is "not here to scale" and is targeting a mid-November opening. The board also voted 3-0 to support the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional Agreement amendments subject to DESE review, and 3-0 to back a citizens petition on anticoagulant rodenticides. The Dark Skies zoning bylaw was held for the 9 a.m. Town Meeting morning meeting after Chair Jennifer Glass said she was "stuck on the behavior thing" in the 10 p.m. lighting provision. Town Administrator Tim Higgins reported a $600,000 Chapter 90-funded Bedford Road closure starting April 13.
