Lincoln School Committee approves FY23 capital list and policy review subcommittee

LINCOLN — October 7, 2021 — Lincoln School Committee greenlights FY23 capital list and MASC policy review push. Members on Oct. 7 took a first read of Superintendent Becky McFall's three goals — strategic plan execution, workforce diversification, and on-time delivery of the building project — and unanimously approved the FY23 capital projects, which include a $26,000 firewall replacement drawn from the Hanscom reserve. Member Jen James pushed back on what she called "another year of planning" on diversification, citing two recent candidates of color lost to Boston Public Schools over pay. CapCom liaison Adam Hogue reported emergency funding is being pursued for school roof repairs to bypass Town Meeting. Hanscom Primary logged 66 behavior support team calls so far this year — versus two and nine in the prior two — with one student accounting for 17. Warrants totaled $1,177,444.26. Administrator for Student Services Mary Emmons announced her June retirement.
