Lincoln Select Board reorganizes under Hutchinson, advances 250th committee
LINCOLN — April 24, 2023 — Lincoln Select Board reorganizes under Hutchinson and launches a 250th anniversary committee. Members voted 3-0 to install Jim Hutchinson as chair, replacing Jennifer Glass, and 3-0 to authorize a Lincoln 250th committee chaired by Kim Bodnar with representatives from public safety, DPW, the Historical Society, School Committee, Trustees of Reservations, Lincoln Minute Men, Parks and Recreation, and a civic-community liaison. The board unanimously approved a National Grid petition to replace roughly 250 feet of two-inch coated steel gas main from 1936 on Bedford Road, authorized Town Administrator Tim Higgins as contracting agent for a two-year Green Energy Choice supply contract starting January 2024 with class-one REC content stepping up six percent annually, and expanded Planning Board representation on the Community Center Building Committee from one liaison to two. deCordova business director Pilar Garro outlined a multi-year museum renovation targeting 2027 completion. Hutchinson said he will draft a letter to Governor Maura Healey arguing the proposed Hanscom North Airfield expansion would "wipe out the climate change gains that we have so laboriously worked on in the last 10 years."
