LINCOLN — October 26, 2023 — Lincoln selectmen retain outside counsel for McLean Hospital zoning suit and queue up Route 117 intersection review. Chair Peter Braun announced that the Board of Selectmen, at the Zoning Board of Appeals' request, appointed Attorney Jason "Jay" Tallerman of Blatman, Bobrovsky, Mead, and Tallerman to represent the town and ZBA after McLean Hospital sued over the ZBA's decision overturning the building inspector's Dover amendment ruling for a proposed bypass road facility. ZBA co-chair Joel Friedman attended the executive session. The board also unanimously appointed planning assistant Paula Vaughn-McKenzie to the Battle Road Scenic Byway Committee and approved the annual Boy Scouts Christmas tree sale at Codman and Lincoln roads. Town Administrator Tim Higgins reported 80 responses to the Complete Streets survey and a Finance Committee FY18 guideline of 2.5 percent, telling the board Lincoln is "one of very few towns" not budgeting town funds for roadways beyond Chapter 90 aid.
